Rated 3 out of 5 by Mike from Moen Shower Faucet with Valve Once I got my valve installed and working I am satisfied with my chose of product, however the instructions with the valve were not easy to follow. The installation booklet were not easy or clear to follow and at points during the installation I found myself re-reading and experimenting to find what the instructions were attempting to explain. Overall the installation is not that difficult but there are steps that should be more clear for the weekend plumber like myself. I purchased this item from Lowes and was replacing a faucet that I installed 20 years ago, make it easier for use laymen please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ME from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace a 3 handle shower faucet that had no access from the backside. I used a Danco Chrome Deck Plate along with 1 handle faucet. Due to the limited access I had it took me about 5 1/2 hours to replace it. The box stated about 4 hours with access from the back and a 14"x14" access panel. My access was much smaller. I was happy with the outcome and the shower work just fine now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John from Second try I installed this in a new house that I replaced all the plumbing before hot water was filled up after turning the water on it only trickled in the bathtub after trying everything I figured I just got a bad valve so I had to take it out for a new one after the second installation the same thing happened so after I installed the hot water heater and filled it up it worked fine so apperantly you need hot and cold supplies on not just cold it must be pressure sensitive would of been nice to mention that in the troubleshooting instructions not just check the supply

Rated 3 out of 5 by John from Expected better from Moen [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not a bad system for the price, but expected a little more quality of a Moen. The valve is heavy and solid, but rest is cheap and flimsy. The directions are generic to different models, and they leave out a few critical details. The shower head leaked around the connection, and after reinstalling it five or six times I gave up and went back to my old one, which worked fine without a leak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Xtcc from Follow up for Moen leak Warranty parts have been found at hardware stores at no cost. Found out that the cartridges don't last long with Edmonton water. But at least the part was free and available quickly not happy that it only lasted two years but happy that Moen gives warranty parts to hardware stores for easy and immediate pickup

Rated 4 out of 5 by lweb from Very Quiet Showerhead! The installation instructions with the valve were not easy to follow, and they didn't mention that you need both the hot and cold water turned on as the valve must be pressure sensitive or something. The chrome ring to finish off the valve is thin - would have liked a bit more substantial metal. Once installed, the showerhead works great, it's extremely quiet and the water pressure is strong. Per the leaflet included in the kit, I contacted Moen for the free acrylic knob handle. Haven't received it yet, but it has been shipped for no charge. Don't know if I'll use it, but now I have the option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DonO from Rugged yet flexible This unit was a bit more difficult to install than was anticipated since it did not have any integrated shut offs. I had to work to install additional plumbing and shut off valves. Other than that, the set works just fine. I have replaced the shower head with a handheld unit to provide more flexibility. It withstood two or three instances of intall/uninstall cycles to stop small leaks.

Are all Moen shower handles interchangeable?

Moen has manufactured many types of shower rough-in valves including four types single handle shower valves. The trim kits are not interchangeable. It is important to identify which valve is currently installed by looking at the escutcheon screw location and the handle operation.

What valve does Moen Adler use?

This Moen Adler bath/shower handle is equipped with a PosiTemp pressure-balancing control valve to help maintain water temperature in the shower.

How do I identify my Moen shower valve?

Look closely at the handle buttons that were attached to the shower valve. Typically, "Moen" will be written in the middle of the "Hot" and "Cold" buttons. If you do not see this, the handle buttons have been replaced, or the "Hot/Cold" button is a lever (wall escutcheon).

How do I identify my shower faucet model?

Look for the tag on one of the faucet's supply lines. Not all products have model identification on them. Shower faucets will show the Series embossed on the escutcheon plate below the handle. For example, 1300/1400 Series.
