How to repair a single handle kitchen faucet with a spray hose

Is your pull-out faucet leaking or difficult to operate? A pull-out kitchen faucet is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. This type of faucet has a sprayer head that is removed from the base of the faucet for doing larger cleaning jobs. This can be in the form of a large pot that does not fit under a normal sink. While using this type of faucet is a great convenience, they are still wrought with the same problems. Namely, they can begin to leak after several years of use. These leaks are easily repaired by changing some parts.

Why is my faucet sprayer not working?

The most common cause is mineral deposits in the sprayer. Remove and soak it in a 50/50 vinegar and water solution for several hours. The second most common cause is a kinked hose under the sink. Check to be sure the hose doesn't kink when the sprayer is pulled out to be used.
