Clinique moisture surge eye how to use

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all been well & had a great weekend. I enjoyed a super chill Sunday yesterday & felt ready for work this morning. Today I want to share my thoughts on two key products from the Clinique Moisture Surge range. The Moisture Surge Eye 96 Hour Hydro-Filler, which I have been trying out for over a month now, & the Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator which I’ve been using for about 2 weeks now. They’re both super popular products from the brand so I thought a review would be useful for at least someone out there.

OVERVIEW
Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator:
A 50ml tub will cost you £37, Clinique as a brand definitely sit in the premium world of skin care, so a relatively high price tag is to be expected. The Moisture Surge moisturiser comes in both original (for all skin types) and intense (for dry skin). I picked up the original since we are currently in summer & I decided I wanted the refreshing gel texture as opposed to the creamy one. Though I would definitely be tempted to try the intense version too as I have normal to dry skin.

Clinique say that this hydrator will work nonstop for 72 hours & leave skin plump and glossy even after washing the face. It provides both immediate & long term hydration, helping the appearance of fine lines. Skin will stay soft and comfortable in changing climates. This Moisture Surge uses auto-replenishing technology which has Caffeine to kick start skins own water ‘pump’, as well as Aloe Water, Humectants and Hyaluronic Acid to attract and lock in moisture.

Moisture Surge Eye 96 Hour Hydro-Filler: This will set you back £27.50 – again not super cheap at all but if it performs well, it’s a price I’m willing to pay. This one is quite a new release from Clinique and as soon as it launched I was interested.

Clinique say this is an ultra-light water-gel that helps the eye area replenish it’s own moisture for a full 96 hours of intense crease-plumping hydration. This eye gel will instantly tighten & brighten the delicate under eye area.

REVIEW
Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator:
The first thing I absolutely love about this moisturiser is the texture/formula. It is super light weight & has a water-gel texture, which is so refreshing when applied to the skin. During the winter I do like a creamier moisturiser, but I find that some can be too thick & take a long time to soak in, especially in the heat; so this is so perfect for me in the Summer. I had my reservations that this wouldn’t provide me with as much moisture as my other thicker creams, but it turns out I was wrong. This sinks into the skin fast and immediately leaves my face looking fresher, brighter & more hydrated, and that feeling lasts a super long time. I find this to be a great product to wear as a primer under makeup too, if I am looking to achieve a dewy finish.
You only need a small amount of this to cover the entire face. I also received a 15ml tub of this as a free gift too, which will give me even better value for money. I have been loving this hydrator & will definitely be continuing to use it. It feels good to have splurged a little on a moisturiser as I am so used to saving in this area, as of course there are plenty great affordable ones to choose from. But I personally can see a difference whilst I have been using this one so far.

Moisture Surge Eye 96 Hour Hydro-Filler: If you have been reading my blog a lot, you’ll probably already know I love this eye gel since I featured it in a recent favourites post. But I’ve fallen in love with this Moisture Surge Eye hydro-filler, and I wanted to share a full review on it. I’ve struggled with under eye creases A LOT, and when this released I was actually obsessing over getting filler surgery under the eye. My boyfriend could see I was getting upset at all the creasing so he picked me this up as he knew I wanted to give it a go.
The texture of this is lovely too, again it is a gel, but it is even less creamy than the moisturiser & it has little pink & green ‘clusters’ dispersed throughout it. You only need a pea sized amount for both eyes. I simply place the product on one finger and dab it with another then apply to both eyes, both morning and night. It feels watery as you apply, but soon drys down into an almost sticky texture, which helps to tighten to area! The stickiness doesn’t last too long, but it shows you that the tightening & decreasing is happening.
After about 2 weeks of using this product, I really started to see the difference. The area creases much less now & makeup sits much nicer under the eye than before. Of course I do get a few creases in my concealer, but it’s no where near as bad as before.
I will say though, this does absolutely nothing for dark circles, so if that is your main concern I wouldn’t recommend. (if you do have any recommendations for darkness, do let me know though). This has genuinely become a ride or die product for me, so if you are struggling with creasing, give it a go & after around 2 weeks I’m so sure you’ll see a change.

As you can tell, I am a big fan of both of these products & they have got me so excited to check out what else Clinique has to offer. Have you given any Clinique skincare a go? Do any of these appeal to you? Let me know in the comments below.
