2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Good for getting you where you need to go

My vehicle is a red Chevy Monte Carlo that I've had about three years. One of the best things I like about it is its handling. I don't really feel the bumps in the road so much. The brakes work really well; not too sensitive or too slow. I've only had to take it in to get the brake lights fixed and oil changed. It's kind of big for a two door car, so parking is sometimes difficult since I'm short, so I end up not quite making it in between the lines, but I would think taller people wouldn't have a problem with that. I use the car for my family and it's relatively easy to get the kids into the back, even though it has two doors. All in all, it's done what I need it to do (which is to get me from point A to point B with no hassles) and I'd buy another one if my current one ever gives out... (more)

I enjoyed taking this car on a road trip with my family to Spokane. We go every year in July and my last car didn't have good air conditioning. It was a nice change to not be hot and having high speed wind blowing in our faces.

I love the color of my car. Red has always been my favorite color. I like the little things, like when I turn off the car and the music continues to play. I love music, so I love the option of finishing a song before leaving the car. Also the auto lights are great since I always forget to put the lights on at night on other cars. Brakes work awesome. There have been some close calls where bad brakes would've left me with a bent fender.

I've had wiring issues with this car. It's possibly because somehow there is a hole in the driver side door, so when it rains it leaks water into the door and affected the wiring. Because of that, my front speakers don't work. So I guess it's really weather-stripping issues or something of the like. And as before parking is hard since it's a wider shape than regular cars. I always end up parking too wide or not wide enough.

2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Excellent runner with a few bugs

My particular vehicle, bought used, has been a reliable runner with a few bugs. The black interior with lots of silver trim is very comfortable seat and lumbar support wise; lots of leg room and storage areas; the stereo is top notch; the engine is quiet and after a few tuneups and replacement parts, now runs nicely and gets better gas mileage than I initially expected. The air and heat system has had a few issues and has had to be fixed several times, the electrical system has had a few hiccups with the wiring with the lights, but now fixed. For the price paid and repairs, I'd still recommend.

My particular car has Tasmanian Devils on sides and back; I was at a Target store when I came out and there was a family of 4 walking around it checking out the Taz...At first I thought I had a flat or someone had dinged the car badly but the kids were simply astonished at a cartoon being on a sporty looking low riding car.

Sunroof occasionally leaks - I am not sure if factory installed Emergency flasher button got stuck in 'on' Turn signals had issues not reliably working Door trim on interior of passenger door not properly fastened Back window vision not very good - small window Power mirrors lost power Air conditioning and heating has had several issues with blower motor Gas gauge is a bit off - E actually is 1/4 tank Windshield wiper system is sluggish at times Back seat is difficult to get to - front seat doesn't go 'forward' enough - for an adult Baby car seats are almost impossible in back seat Passen...
