   I found one on craigslist, but don't know much about the direct injection part. Is it something I should avoid because it's 10 yrs old. It has 122 hours on it. Going to look at it tomorrow. Just curious if I should avoid it because it the DI model not just the regular XP....

   unless the ski is pristine and the owner has maintenance records, you might want to consider a far lower then book value offer and use the difference to equip you with a code reader like candoo pro, as troubleshooting a di is next to impossible without one..unless you can accurately aim wads of $50 bills at various engine components.

   DI require pricey synthetic injection oil

   DI shortblocks are crazy expensive, and lots of em will come with holes welded

   if you browse the rest of the di threads here....you'll see why that might be a deal to pass on.

   I spied one today for $750 with a trailer a 2003 model also..but I didn't even bother to call the guy...for a must sell price, I expect nothing but trouble ( like a third party voided title or no title for trailer etc.) and excuses..and it's a 200 mile round trip drive to snatch it..so add in $100 for gas.

   You need to be mechanically inclined to own one of these to be personally cost savey. And if you are you need to get a CanDoo Pro system to be able to multiple diagnosis to repair.
   But they run great and sip fuel compared to the standard 2 strokes

   10 year old ski, with a motor that only has 122 hours.. i would question that.. should have like 300.. so definitely do a compression check, and make sure everything "works"

   they are fuel injected skis, so cost a bit more to repair, and can nickel and dime you to death unless you know what your doing.

   i just put a motor in mine. had 150 hrs on it when i bought it, knowing it needed a motor. got it running, ran it all summer, then cracked up.

   The hours depend upon where it is used. Up in the northwest it is common to see 96 gtxs with 150 hours. I sold my 96 gsx with under 80 hours a couple years ago
