Amber is more than just a pretty face. She has a light color coat that shines as an almost silver color in the right light. She is petite, but she has a lot of love to offer. She is friendly, spunky, and sweet. Amber instantly made herself at home with her foster family wrapping everyone around her little paw. She will melt your heart when she jumps on your leg begging to be petted. She loves playing with toys and cuddling with her humans. She doesn't hesitate when it comes to taking stairs and has learned to use the doggy door. She likes to play with her foster-pup siblings, but she can be sassy when they are being too obnoxious. Her foster mom is proud that she stands up for herself. She also enjoys hanging out outside or taking some time for herself. Amber does well with kids, but due to her tiny size, we recommend an adult-only home with no plans for a growing family. Amber has done wonderfully with house training. She does need to go outside regularly as she is a tiny dog with a tiny bladder. She gets along with other dogs. We believe she is also cat and kid friendly. She does well in a crate, but has also done really well being left alone outside the crate.

Amber is a Silver & Tan Yorkshire Terrier, weighs 5 lbs and is 4 yrs old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative, and dewormed. Adoption fee is $475 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, including pets (dogs not cats), to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
