Come experience the Vitz Metals difference for yourself! How much does a steel lintel cost?Lintels come in varying materials, such as steel, timber, stone, concrete, or brick. The lintel price ranges from $25 to $300 per piece, yet the material of your lintel determines the cost.
What can I use instead of lintels? The best way to carry out window lintel repairs is with helical bars. These reinforcement bars can be used with brick or masonry lintels. Once installed these stainless steel bars improve strength with minimum disruption. Helical bars are a welcome alternative to installing a new lintel.
What steel is used for lintels?Precast concrete lintels are economical and provide robust support for structures such as masonry over door and window openings. They are able to accept a wide range of surface finishes. Steel lintels are generally made from pre-galvanised steel which is cut and either roll-formed or pressed into the required shape.
What sizes do lintels come in?Concrete lintels are available in a range of lengths including: 600mm, 900mm, 1200mm, 1350mm, 1500mm and 1800mm.
