The final preseason game for the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks will take place on Friday as final roster battles still need to be settled as training camps near their end.
Dallas is coming off a 32-18 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, sparked by returner KaVontae Turpin who returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns, becoming the first player in nine seasons to have both in the same game. The Cowboys expect to hold most of their starters, including quarterback Dak Prescott, who has not taken a snap in a preseason game in three years, out of the game
The Seattle Seahawks started Geno Smith at quarterback in the first two games, both losses, and it is expected that Drew Lock will get the majority of the snaps, as coach Pete Carroll has not named a starter from the Week 1 Monday night contest against the Denver Broncos.

The Cowboys’ preseason schedule has been finalized.
The team had previously released the list of three opponents back in mid-May, but details like kickoff times were not known. In the case of the Cowboys’ lone home preseason tilt, the final tune-up before the regular season, an exact date had not even announced; only a three-day window was specified.
Tuesday brought clarity to the schedule.
Week 1 of the preseason will see the Cowboys playing in Denver on Saturday, Aug. 13. Kickoff is 8 p.m. Central time at Empower Field at Mile High. That game will follow a joint practice scheduled between the two clubs on Aug. 11.
The Cowboys remain out West for their second preseason contest, versus the Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 20, with a 9 p.m. Central start time at SoFi Stadium. Again, joint practices will be held at the Chargers’ facility in Costa Mesa on Aug. 17 and 18.
Finally, the team returns to the Metroplex for their preseason finale on Friday, Aug. 26. The Cowboys will host Seattle at AT&T Stadium beginning at 7 p.m. local time.

None of the Cowboys’ preseason games are set to be nationally televised.
It is thought that the first two preseason games will take place during the Cowboys’ training camp stay in California, and that the club will use Oxnard as their homebase for those excursions. Dates for 2022’s training camp have not been announced.
Last year, the team traveled from Oxnard to Canton to play in the Hall of Fame Game, then returned to California to host a joint practice against the Rams. They broke camp a few days later, traveled to Arizona for a preseason game against the Cardinals, and then flew to Dallas immediately afterward to close out camp and the 2021 preseason at their home facilities.

The first week of June is just about over and therefore we are about a quarter of a way into the last month without any real sort of football action.
Obviously there are OTAs and minicamps going on, but for the most part the action is a bit slow until late July when NFL teams head out to training camp. The Dallas Cowboys will flock west to Oxnard where they will train before the preseason begins.
The league officially finalized the 2022 preseason schedule for all of their teams on Tuesday which means we know exactly what the situation is going to be for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys were not selected for a nationally-televised preseason game this year which means all games will be broadcasted locally, a challenge that the preseason can present for those who don’t live locally around Dallas.
Dallas’ opponent in Week 1 in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be playing their third and final preseason game on Saturday, August 27th and it will be on the road. The Cowboys will turn around and host the Buccaneers two weeks later on Sunday, September 11th which means they will technically have a bit of an advantage although the bye week will mostly nullify that.
