  Waves of Lust is another smutty Deodato psychological thriller. In it, Al Cliver and Silvia Dionisio are invited to spent some time on the yacht of rich asshole John Steiner and his girlfriend Elizabeth Turner. What is supossed to be a fun weekend full of sunbathing, drinks and sexy times, develops into something more sinister.

  This one works a lot better for me than The Washing Machine. Here the sleazy bits are much more in service of the story, instead of being overpowering and almost gimmicky.

  The movie is definitely a slow burn, but enough happens to keep you engaged throughout.

John Steiner is one creepy motherfucker and plays the creepy fuck almost too good. Not the greatest film, but I'm usually a fan of trash and this is trashy enough for me to recommend it.

  I really enjoyed this Ruggero Deodato effort which was a long way from his more notorious films and has next to no blood in it. What it does have in spades is sleaze, as the couples swap partners and get up to various sexy antics. Some of it, towards the end, not so playful. John Steiner is excellent as the increasingly deranged Giorgio and Al Cliver somewhat subdued as Irem, the only other male in the film. The film lives or dies on how convincing the cast are…

  Two couples with shady motives spends the weekend at sea.

  It's full-blown summer in Sweden and I've been outdoors all weekend so when my wife and kid went to the beach, I stayed at home watching this early Ruggero Deodato on Raro Video's dvd release. Waves of Lust is one of those "I've always wanted to watch that one" movies and it's often compared to Polanski's The Knife in the Water but I don't know, I don't remember much from Polanski's movie more than that I really liked it so I can't really have an opinion about that. Anyway, Waves of Lust has a good flow and it's a enjoyable sleazy tale about sex, abuse, J&B and death onboard a yacht in Sicily. I liked it!

  Sleaziger Thriller vom Kultitaliener Ruggero Deodato. Wenn man mit "Top Sensation" etwas anfangen kann, dann sollte man hier ruhig mal einen Blick riskieren. Mit Al Cliver (ohne Schnauzer kaum zu erkennen) und John Steiner (als richtig widerlicher Schleimbeutel) kann der Film für Italophile mit bekannten Namen aufwarten. Ein wunderbar schmutziges Kammerspiel (bzw. Bootspiel), bei dem die Spannungen zwischen den Charakteren immer weiter spürbar zunehmen und in einem durchaus gelungenen Finale gipfeln.

Giorgio cheats on Silvia openly but demands that she stay ready for him. He also beats on her and verbally and physically assaults her whenever he pleases...even if people are watching.

  Made by Ruggero Deodato WAVES OF LUST is an interesting little psycho-thriller shamelessly (s)exploiting its ladies. It's basically just four people on a boat playing psycho tricks on each other and having lots of sex.
  As Deodato establishes the characters well exploring themes of class distinction and human nature in general this movie isn't just a sleaze fest though. It's very well-made and although nothing much happens there is a constant atmosphere of threat which culminates in a visceral finale.

  The man that brought you Cannibal Holocaust also put this little drama/thriller together about a rich asshole who beats his wife and invites a young couple to frolic in the Mediterranean with them. And...it's just about ok. Lots of attractive female flesh as the name implies and an almost fully formed commentary on the excesses of the rich. You could do worse.
