SEPTA

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides train service between Center City and the airport on the Airport Regional Rail Line. Trains run every 30 minutes on weekdays and operate from 4:13 am to 11:03 pm (Center City to Airport) and from 5:07 am to 12:07 am (Airport to Center City).On weekends, trains run hourly and operate from 5:13 am to 11:13 pm (Center City to Airport) and from 6:07 am to 12:07 am (Airport to Center City)

Stations on the Airport Regional Rail Line include Terminal E/F, Terminal C/D, Terminal B, Terminal A (East), Eastwick, Penn Medicine, 30th Street, Suburban, Jefferson and Temple. All stations on the Airport Line are wheelchair accessible.

Please note: Due to the platform rehabilitation taking place on the platforms adjacent to South Commercial Road, access to SEPTA North platforms at Terminal A- B, C-D, and E-F will be closed beginning Monday, Sept 12, 2022 at 6:00am. Construction will be ongoing until the Fall of 2023.

The closure of these platforms will require passengers to use the center platform for travel to and from Center City. Passengers must receive their items from the baggage claim area and travel up the escalator, elevator, or stairs to get to the center platform to take the train to Center City.

Regional Rail

Connections to other SEPTA Regional Rail lines, as well as buses, trolleys and subways/elevated subways, can be made at the following: 

  • Penn Medicine
  • 30th Street
  • Suburban
  • Jefferson Station

Connections to Amtrak Northeast Corridor and Keystone Service and NJ Transit Atlantic City Rail Line can be made at 30th Street Station.

Fares

Payment for all modes of transit can be made with a SEPTA Key card. SEPTA Key is a reloadable, contactless chip card that offers a host of options for seamless travel on all SEPTA modes and the self-serve flexibility of loading/reloading SEPTA fares to match your travel needs. You can load money onto the Travel Wallet (to pay as you go) or you can load a daily/three day/weekly/monthly pass. You can get a SEPTA Key card at kiosks at the Airport or any Center City train station. Kiosks accept cash, credit, debit, tokens, Apple Pay, Google Pay, & Samsung Pay. Best part – you can reload your SEPTA Key online at SEPTAKey.org. You can also purchase a Quick Trip (single-ride ticket) at the kiosks.

If you don’t have time to stop by a kiosk – cash/credit cards are accepted on board. However, it will cost you more - $8 instead of $6.75.

Bus

The airport is also served by three SEPTA bus routes at Zone 1 of the Arrivals Road outside of baggage claim: Route 37, which goes from South Philadelphia to Chester, Pa.; Route 108, which goes from the airport to 69th Street Transportation Center; and Route 115, which goes from the airport to Delaware County Community College. 
 

When paying with cash, the single-ride transit fare is $2.50 (exact change only). When paying with a SEPTA Key card, it is $2.
