Topps 40 years of baseball 1991 complete set

  • All cards feature a "Topps 40 Years of Baseball" logo to commemorate Topps' 40th year of baseball releases.
  • Due to the special nature of this anniversary set and because the errors were caught early enough in the press run, Topps decided to correct a number of the cards.
  • Among the cards won in the 40th Anniversary Sweepstakes:

"Collectors often decried how money had ruined their hobby, making it hard for them to form meaningful friendships through their cards. Money, however, made the hobby not only profitable but also more serious, more instrumental, and therefore more manly. The same collectors who complained about greed often bragged in the same interview about the value of their cards. Yet money, in turn, made the hobby less akin to child's play and more like work: lonely, competitive, unfulfilling, and alienating." - Author John Bloom in A House of Cards (1997)

I loved the glasses, yesterday I showed them off to my mom and she was pretty amazed that I owned them. Thank you again for your quick service, I really appreciated the great items.

The package came perfectly shipped. However the item itself (even though I’m buying the item understanding it’s vintage) has a very strong smell, very much like cigarettes or cig smell covered up with something. Unfortunately I wouldn’t have purchased the item if I knew how strong the smell was for this item was listed as such. Hoping it will come out with several washes and sunshine. Otherwise the item is as stated.

    Response from Atlantic Canada Vintage

This is so wrong! There is absolutely no way the sheets should smell like smoke/cigarettes as there has been no smoke/cigarettes in my home and no one smokes in my household! Reviews like this really discourages selling to buyers like this and I refuse to sell to this individual again!

I wish I could give this seller no stars….

    Response from Atlantic Canada Vintage

Buyer was advised we were dealing with a family issue knowing there would be a delay. asked for aq refund once she was advised the item was shipped.
