Bluegrass & BBQ Festival returns to Silver Dollar City from May 4-30, 2022, with traditional and contemporary sounds, savory smells, and sumptuous barbecue.
More than 50 musical groups will bring the sound of bluegrass to the Ozarks, backed by the tantalizing scents produced by BBQ pitmasters as the festival returns to the Branson, Mo. park for its 18th season.
Silver Dollar City calls 2022 their “Biggest Entertainment Year Ever,” and the festival is part of that historic lineup.
During the event, stages will be set up throughout The City area of the park, and will host award-winning musical groups and family bands playing both traditional and contemporary tunes.
New artists and long-time “downhome fiddlers” include Grammy award winners such as Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, and Daily & Vincent, as well as 2022 SPBGMA Band and Gospel Group of the Year, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers.
Bluegrass goes best with barbeque, and pitmasters will be on hand in “BBQ Central,” located throughout Rivertown. Dishes include the Smokehouse’s slow-smoked brisket, which spends 10-16 hours in a custom smoker reaching maximum juiciness and flavor, along with traditional favorites such as ribs, pulled pork, and chicken.
Make the most of the festival with a Bluegrass & BBQ Tasting Passport, which features BBQ brisket bowls, BBQ pulled pork bowls, grilled smoked brisket sausage, BBQ nachos, smokey BBQ pork pizza, and newcomer twice baked peach bread pudding.
On May 28, 2022, Silver Dollar City will hold the 20th Annual Youth in Bluegrass Band Contest in support of new and rising stars from around the nation. Aspiring musicians will compete for a grand prize, bragging rights, and a performance at Silver Dollar City.
