Extremely satisfied!

After my Miele literally blew up while I was vacuuming, I had to find a new vacuum cleaner.
Although I rate the Miele vacuums highly when they are working, having had two blow up on me, I wasn’t keen on spending the money again.
So, off I went a’searching on my Mums Who Clean FB group to find out the general consensus on good vacs.
Dysons were still touted as the best by the few loyal diehards but the general agreement was that they’d become overpriced and underwhelming.
Miele’s were still regarded highly but my thoughts on this were obvious....

Read more The LG cordless was also popular but I own one and while it’s convenient, I wouldn’t say it sucked my socks off…it’s lucky to even suck up anything bigger than a 10c piece, actually. Sharks were being mentioned in posts left, right and centre. I was under the impression they were the type of vac you order through one of those Tele-ad’s for some reason and never thought to consider them but when I saw how often they were mentioned, I did a deep dive on various customer review sites and was sold by all the talk of both their reasonable price point and great functionality. Good guys happened to be having a sale too, so I bit the bullet and bought one. I’ve had it for about a month now and have to say- it’s brilliant!! Great suction on both our hard floors and carpet, easy to keep clean, not too noisy and as I’ve mentioned a few times now, the price is right!

My floor never been this clean

I have used several vacuum cleaners including Miele and bought this one a couple of months ago after reading heaps of reviews.glad I did. This vacuum cleaner is so powerful and it has automatic brush roller so I don't even need to clean the hair as they doesn't tangled There..now I kind of enjoy vacuuming everyday..the suction power is amazing and I noticed my tiles floor and carpet Never been this much clean before.this machine is a bit heavy but I don't mind that and I never had any problem with that because what I wanted this machine does exactly that without causing any hassles.. highly recommend this!!!

Stay away from this awful machine.

Was recommended by a friend. Bad recommendation! Very heavy and awkward to move. Absolutely terrible suction and cleaning power. Leaves so much behind on carpet and even more behind on tiles. Cannot recommend. Would never buy again.

Don’t believe the reviews

Thought I did my homework before purchasing this vacuum. Needed something with strong suction that could pick up pet hair and according to reviews, this was supposed to fit the bill. I was wrong. Initial use was good but went downhill from there. Struggles to pick up the smallest of grime and leaves pet hair behind. Constantly pulling head apart to clean the hose from backed up hair and grime. It backs up in the most inconvenient spot in the hose which means u have to contort the nozzle so that it sucks up via the head into the hose. Have to d...

Read moreo this after each use and it still leaves stuff behind. Now need to go find another vacuum. It is also a lot heavier to use than a standard pull along vacuum, so find it aggregates my back. Whilst it has 2 settings, one for hard floors and one for carpet, neither works well.

This is the one! Genuine self-cleaning brush roller. Impressed.

After moving away from using Dyson (due to their planned obsolescence of parts) I went with the Shark. I was intrigued by the self-cleaning brush roller claim, having spent so much time cutting hair from previous models, and it has lived up to its claim. This is the sort of vacuum that makes me want to get it out whenever I can, as it is such a pleasure to operate and clean. A great quality design, build, and the swivel head is terrific for getting to tight spots. When you need to use the wand, it is a simple matter of clicking a button, and you can quickly clean carpet edges and the tops of skirting boards. There is a setting for carpet and one for hard floors. Overall, I am super impressed with this vacuum.

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever had

Use on carpet and hard floor surfaces. I purchased a shark navigator 7 years ago, and haven’t looked back. The suction is amazing,, the clear dust barrel is great and the filters and foam filters are easy to clean. I have a spare set of foam filters and rotate them regularly I.e. cleaning one set and replacing with the spare set. I also use the shark to vacuum two vehicles as well as carpet in the garage. After much use and over a period of 7 years, I had to replace a small section of hose. Spare parts were really easy to access and the cost w...

Read moreas very reasonable. I definitely recommend the Shark Navigator, it certainly out performs other machines I have had over many years. Also doesn’t take up much storage space in the Laundry cupboard. Simply love this product.

Great suction, slightly heavy

Used on bamboo hard wood floors and carpet. Suction is fantastic. Attachments are good. Performs well everywhere however is heavy up stairs. I have the XL capacity which doesn't break down into smaller compartments to easily take up stairs. Quite loud on carpet setting but does vacuum really well. GREAT part to not get hair tangled up - life saver with long hair and pets

The best for pet hair!

With a menagerie of animals, we needed a new vacuum cleaner, and one that would do the job with pet hair. I prefer a barrel type machine, however thought this one sounded good after reading a few reviews. We have hard floors throughout the house, along with several carpet mats in separate rooms. The Shark Navigator Pet worked wonders. After persisting with an old vacuum that took literal hours to do the house, the Shark Navigator Pet did a better job, at much less time. It works great on both hard floors and carpets, and the carpet itself appears cleaner without using shampoo.
I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone, especially if you have pets.

Better than my Dyson

I bought this once my Dyson blew up and I just love it. I've got a cat and he moults like there is no tomorrow, but this vacuum cleaner picks up astonishing amounts of it. My only complaint is the chord gets knotted easily but it's a minor quirk. I love this brand, will buy again.

My h/mate thought expensive (over $100) vacuums were over rated. Now he won't leave my Shark alone. Its the chosen one.

The shark navigator pet ZU62 is brilliant. Great suction and so easy to clean. The canister holds a lot and we are amazed with how much pet hair it finds

Brilliant just brilliant

Purchased the Shark 4 days ago. We have a Golden Retriever, long blond hairs on a dark green/grey plush carpet, we have used Dyson vacs for years and paid top dollar for them, no more! This Shark is brilliant just brilliant, it picks up pet hairs like nothing I’ve ever seen, the carpet (9 years) feels like new after only 3 cleans. Pet hairs just vanish and no hair tangles on the brush and all for a quarter (that’s 25%) of the cost of the other vacuum. We’ll done SHARK.

Amazing! Fantastic! If you have pets, its a god send!

I have two cats, my bissell cordless was useless when it came to cat hair. We only received it the other day, tested it on the problem area first. Rugs in the house!
I couldn't believe how canister was half full and all hair on rugs gone!

Like how you can switch from carpets to hardwood, in my house would be polished tiles.
Love the suction control you can adjust on the handles.
After a full vacuum, nothing stuck on roller except a piece of string!

Only negative cannot go under sofas, but that's ok I normally pull sofas out once a week to give floor under sofas a good vacuum anyways.

First upright and loving it so far

We have carpet throughout and also ragdoll cats - so tumbleweeds of fur every single day. The Dyson stick was not managing and because of the small canister it was filling up so quickly. This Shark has an XL canister which is great but it also picks up what the Dyson misses. It lifts the carpet pile which is what I was hoping for as the Dyson just can't do a deep clean. This is our first upright and even though it is a little cumbersome compared to the stick I like the result. We have only had it for one month so it may be early days as yet. Th...

Read moree price was also very reasonable. It was on sale at Harris Scarfe and the price made my mind up after looking for months for something. I figured that at this price if it doesn't perform as expected or last I wasn't going to lose out too much. Don't get me wrong, even at this price I still pondered my decision for a long time. There is the issue of unplugging and re-plugging due to the length of the cord but it's manageable.

Which Shark vacuum has self

The Shark Navigator Pet has 3XL capacity for uninterrupted, whole-home cleaning. The self-cleaning brushroll delivers nonstop hair removal. With an integrated extendable hose, your cleaning doesn't have to stop at the floor—vacuum stairs, furniture, and tight spaces with up to 12 feet of total reach.

Which is better the Shark Navigator or the Shark?

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away is better overall than the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Upright. The Navigator has much better performance on bare floors, it's more maneuverable, and it's lighter to hold.

How does the Shark self

Powerful Shark® suction pulls in debris and hair. The bristle guard separates hair from the brushroll until an integrated comb actively removes the hair from the bristles. Hair is sucked up into the dust cup, leaving the brushroll ready to deep-clean.
