Phineas and ferb musical cliptastic countdown hosted by kelly osbourne

Music has been an integral part of Phineas and Ferb since its beginning, and now Disney Channel is gearing up to celebrate the show’s best songs in an upcoming special. EW can exclusively announce that next month Disney Channel will air Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown, with the top songs selected by fans in voting that starts tomorrow.

Fashion Police‘s Kelly Osbourne will host the special, which airs Friday, June 28. Bracket-style voting begins tomorrow, Friday, May 24 on DisneyChannel.com. A list of 16 Phineas and Ferb music videos will be whittled down to top picks by June 17 before the final results are revealed in the Cliptastic Countdown.

The special also features a running story of the evil scientist Dr. Doofenschmirtz and Major Monogram trying to steal the hosting gig from Osbourne. Here is Disney Channel’s description of the show:

In Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown, Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram (voiced by Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh) have their hearts set on revealing the top 10 musical numbers, but soon find out that celebrity host Kelly Osbourne has been brought in to fill the role. Unwilling to submit to playing second fiddle, Doofenshmirtz makes it his mission to thwart Kelly until Perry the Platypus sets out to stop his nemesis from ruining the entire show.

This is the second time Disney Channel has put together a Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown. When the first aired in October 2009, “Gitchee-Gitchee Goo,” from the series’ premiere episode, took home the top prize.

A Few Complaints about Disney+

There are a few problems I’ve noticed with my subscription to Disney+, as well as a few more that I’ve found out about online. This post is a compilation of the problems I know about right now.

Gravity Falls:

In the first 13 episodes, the symbol on Grunkle Stan’s fez was originally missing. As of this post, each episode except for Boss Mabel has been restored to its original version.

Several shows, including Star vs the Forces of Evil and Wander Over Yonder:

They were missing at launch.

Phineas and Ferb:

- The episodes in season 1 are completely out of order. You can find the correct order on the wiki.

- Summer Belongs to You is on there as a 2-part episode. It was shown that way in some international airings instead of the hour-long US version.

- Christmas Vacation is in its original, 22-minute version that aired in 2009, instead of its extended edition that aired in 2010.

- The season 4 episodes Mission Marvel, Save Summer, Star Wars Episode IVa, Night of the Living Pharmacists, Last Day of Summer, and The OWCA Files are also an hour long in their original versions. All of these episodes have been split.

- Season 4′s Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne is completely missing. (Almost as if they knew what a train wreck it was)

Phineas and Ferb follows structural conventions Povenmire and Marsh developed while writing Rocko's Modern Life, whereby each episode features "a song or a musical number, plus a big action/chase scene".[2] Both creators had musical backgrounds, as Povenmire performed rock and roll in his college years[24] and Marsh's grandfather was the bandleader Les Brown.[17]

The creators' original pitch to Disney emphasized Perry's signature "secret agent theme" and the song "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" from the episode "Flop Starz". Disney's managers enjoyed the songs and asked Povenmire and Marsh to write one for each episode.[2]

The songs span many genres, from 16th-century madrigals to Broadway show tunes.[2] Each is written in an intensive session during episode production: a concept, score, and lyrics are developed quite quickly.[3] Together, Marsh and Povenmire can "write a song about almost anything" and in only one hour at most.[22] After they finish writing the song, Povenmire and Marsh sing it over the answering machine of series composer Danny Jacob on Friday nights. By the following Monday, the song is fully produced.[25]

The title sequence music, originally named 'Today Is Gonna Be a Great Day' and performed by the American group Bowling for Soup,[15] was nominated for an Emmy award in 2008.[4] The creators originally wrote a slower number, more like a "classic Disney song", but the network felt changes were needed to appeal to modern children and commissioned a rock version which made the final cut.[12]

A season 2 clip show broadcast in October 2009 focused on the music of Phineas and Ferb, featuring a viewer-voted top-10 of songs from the series; the end result was the "Phineas and Ferb's Musical Cliptastic Countdown."[26]

This clip show had a sequel, called the "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne". Kelly Osbourne hosted the special in live form, while Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram were animated. It aired on June 28, 2013.[27]

In Candance against the Universe they make a joke about being animated and show the storyboards and animators. Do you know any other times they reference being animated?

Hmm, if you’re talking about specifically being animated (versus just being in a cartoon in general), the show does so in “Tri-Stone Area”

and “Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne”

(and maybe “Act Your Age,” if it counts)!

If you count mixing mediums as also being a reference to that, here are some other instances as well.

Could you list every time they used photorealistic images in the show? It can be just a few examples if it's too much work

Here’s most of them already (“Rollercoaster”/“Face Your Fear”/“Moon Farm”/“Sci-Fi Pie Fly”/“Phineas and Ferb Save Summer”/“Last Day of Summer”/“Candace Loses Her Head”/“Lights, Candace, Action!”/“Out to Launch”), but there’s also “Phineas and Ferb Busters!”

Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension,

and pretty much every time a planet is shown in the later seasons (“The Chronicles of Meap”/“We Call it Maze”/”Canderemy"?“Misperceived Monotreme”/“Escape From Phineas Tower”/“Mommy Can You Hear Me?”)!

On perry's wiki page, it says that the "dance baby" song is the second longest perry has smiled. Do you know what scene is THE longest he's smiled? :)

Hmmm, in terms of “scene,” i’m not entirely sure if “Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne” counts since, while it does clock in at 57 seconds, the episode itself is dubiously canon/canon-adjacent and it’s debatable at what point a scene stops when the entire episode is characters standing in the same spot in the same room.

If you don’t count that, then “Candace Disconnected” is actually the longest continuous Perry smile scene at nearly 22 seconds!

Outside of scenes/if we go into comprehensive compilations, Perry smiles for 44 seconds in Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension

(19 seconds of that being the goodbye scene),

33 seconds in “Sidetracked”

(12 seconds of that being the Niagara Falls scene),

and 13 seconds in “La Candace-Cabra!”

*Note: I only counted the seconds when Perry’s smiling face is visible onscreen.
