My son and I both bought the new iPhone 13 pro max and we wanted to have the best protection, which only Otterbox can offer, with less bulkiness that the Commuter has. I went ahead and ordered 3 of them, the green and the blue ones for my son (not knowing which one he’d like to keep) and the purple (maven way) for myself. None of them fit snug on the phone, the silicone part is too large and tends to flare out, away from the screen, in the areas where it isn’t held in place by the back plastic plate of the case. Also, they are extremely slippery, in only a couple of days the phone slipped off my fingers 3 times as I was picking it up from the table. I returned them all and bought the Otterbox Symmetry clear series which is up to my standard of beauty/design and safety, much thinner than Commuter and I also love the grippy silicone all around the sides of the phone….not even close to dropping this one.

I like that you can switch around the colors because this is made up of a hard plastic piece that clips over a rubber type piece. I have a few of these cases that I will switch around the pieces so I can have different colors. The rubber piece does have some give on the side but it hasn’t effected the protection. I’ve dropped my phone multiple times without issue. I’ve used the commuter series cases for years now. The only issue I have had is the rubber part of the case will eventually get dirty and discolor. Also the charging port cover often rips and falls off. The hard plastic pieces seem to last forever and are easily cleaned. I switch around my case colors every few weeks so I may wear the rubber part of the case faster than someone who leaves it on. I would suggest taking the case off at least monthly to clean the phone. Dirt doesn’t get stuck around the edges. I can say I have never had a phone break in this series of otterbox cases. I do add popsockets onto my cases as it’s easier to hold with the 12 pro max and 13 pro max. I’m currently using this case for the IPhone 13 pro max although it will fit the 12 pro max.

I was shocked upon arrival. I bought this case “used like new”, but they should have just called it new!!! This is an amazing case and super sturdy for my phone. My popsocket sticks to the case perfectly, and all the little rubber accents and grooves are perfectly placed on the case - makes it very easy to hold. The case raises slightly above the rim of my phone and the camera, making it impossible to crack. I love it. 10/10, I am very happy with this case!

The case raises slightly above the rim of my phone and the camera, making it impossible to crack. I love it. 10/10, I am very happy with this case!

Good phone case but silent button is flimsy and fell off. It is hard to use it without and now I have to use a pen tip or something small if I want to silent my phone.

I’ve had this case for a few months now. It is sturdy and protects my phone from drops (in combination with a glass screen protector).

I will say that my wireless charger does not work with this thick case, but that is not an issue as I have a long cord and the lightning port works on my iPhone 13 pro max. Not an issue enough to dock stars off of this review.

This OtterBox fits perfectly on the phone. It allows the phone to be slipped into my purse or into a back pocket easily.

Despite what other people say this is a genuine otter box commuter series case for iPhone12/13 pro max. It fits my IPhone 13 Pro Max very well and everything is in the right spot. My only issue with it is that it says you can use the mag safe charger with the case, but the case prevents the charger from magnetizing to the phone. It still charges, but it doesn’t hold. It would be a 5/5 stars if that wasn’t an issue.

This gives sturdy protection for the iPhone Pro Max mobile phone. I like the feel of it in my hand. And I know that the phone is protected from drops and scratches. I also got the Apple tempered glass screen protector, which fits perfectly.
The only question I have is about charging on some devices. The thickness of the back of the case may prevent a good magnetic link to a charger. One tip is to adjust the placement to get the charge indicator to show.
