Tailored Professional Liability insurance for speech pathologists and speech therapists

Coverage to protect against the specific risks you face as a speech pathologist or speech therapist

The importance of Professional Liability insurance for speech pathologists and speech therapists

As a speech pathologist, speech therapist or neuro linguistic programming practitioner, your expertise in helping individuals overcome challenges by improving their speech is highly regarded.

You count on your education and clinical experience to successfully treat your patients, but if you’re ever accused of misconduct or negligence during a treatment, education and experience won’t do a thing to stop a disgruntled patient from suing you. Just one claim can cost thousands of dollars, threaten your career and take significant time away from work to defend.

Lockton Affinity Health’s Professional Liability insurance is tailored exclusively for speech pathologists and speech therapists and covers defense costs and judgments or settlements that result from a claim against you, plus pays you for lost wages while defending a claim.

Why speech pathologists and speech therapists need personal coverage

Even if you’re covered under an employer’s liability insurance, it likely does not provide adequate protection to defend yourself against a claim.
