Make certain that the palm swipe gesture is enabled on your Note 20 Ultra.

Swiping the edge of your hand across the bottom half of the screen will result in the screen automatically taking a screen capture.

Additional features will allow you to edit that screenshot or doodle on it with the S Pen if you so desire.

When using certain apps and features, it is not possible to capture a screenshot.

For those who have not yet enabled the Palm swipe to capture feature, open the Settings app and select Advanced features Motions and gestures, after which they can toggle the Palm swipe to capture switch to enable it.

Capture of airborne commands

Following the capture of a screenshot, the following options are available on the screenshot toolbar located at the bottom of the screen:

Selected content and hidden content on an elongated page, such as a webpage, can be captured by selecting “Scroll Capture” and pressing “Enter.”

By tapping the screen, the content is captured and the screen automatically scrolls down to capture more. You’ll have to keep capturing long-form content as you go.

You can write or draw on a screenshot, or you can crop a portion of a screenshot out.

In the Gallery, you can see the portion of the image that has been cropped.

Tags:

You can add tags to a screenshot.

To look for screenshots based on a tag, go to the top of the Apps screen and select Search.

You can look through the tags list and quickly find the screenshot you’re looking for.

Distribute:

Distribute the screenshot to other people.

The Screenshot toolbar switch must be turned on in order for the options to be visible on the captured screen.

To do so, launch the Settings app and select Advanced features Screenshots and screen recorder.

Toggling the screenshot toolbar on and off can be found under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder > Screenshot toolbar, where you can toggle the option to turn on or off the screenshot toolbar.

How to gain access to a screenshot that has been taken

Go to the Gallery, then to the Albums, and then to the screenshot folder.

How To Change The Screenshot Format

The following are the steps to access and change the screenshot format on your Note 20.

In order to change the default screenshot file format on your Note 20 from JPG to PNG, you must first perform the following steps:

If you want to change the screenshot format on other Samsung Galaxy devices that are running the same operating system or Android version as the Note 20, you can use the same method.

The actual screenshots and menu items, on the other hand, may differ between devices.

1. Starting from the bottom of your Home screen, swipe upwards to get started.

This will allow you to access the Apps viewer, which displays shortcut controls and app icons in a grid format.

2. Locate and then tap the Settings icon on your computer’s desktop.

Another menu appears, highlighting both the basic and advanced features of the Android operating system.

3. Use the arrow keys to scroll down or up to see more items.

Then select the Advanced features option.

A list of all of the advanced features that you can use or modify will appear in the next window that you will open.

4. To continue, select Screenshots and screen recording from the drop-down menu.

Following that, the screenshot settings and other relevant options will be displayed.

5. To change the default screen record file settings, select Screenshot format from the drop-down menu.

A pop-up menu containing the built-in file formats will be presented to you.

You can see that JPG is selected in this section. Because all screen-captured images are saved as JPEGs, they have lossy compression, as indicated by the symbol ().

6. To switch to lossless compression, select PNG from the drop-down menu.

Choosing lossless compression will apply to all screen-captured images on your device when this option is selected. Having said that, unless you switch back to JPEG format, all of your screenshots should be of high quality as well.

BONUS: Creating a customized Note 20 Gesture

You have the ability to customize what is triggered by each gesture.

To avoid taking a screenshot and writing on it, or using your S Pen to go back, you can customize each of the five new triggers to perform a different function.

To change the behavior of any of the anywhere commands on the Air Actions screen, tap on the command in question.

Use it to launch a specific app on your phone, create a new note in Samsung Notes, or modify the navigation functionality.

If you don’t like a particular gesture — or any of them, for that matter — you can turn one or all of them off by pressing the “off” button.

The gestures and tricks that transform the S Pen into something akin to a magic wand aren’t the only things you can do with it.

Some of our favorite S Pen tricks that we still find useful are as follows:

  • By holding down the S Pen’s button for an extended period of time, the camera will be launched. To take another picture, press the button once more.
  • Precision screenshots are made easier with the help of the Smart Select tool. Remove the S
  • Pen from your pocket and then tap on the Smart Select icon to capture only the information you require.
  • Using the Smart Select tool, you can create an animated GIF of your current screen.
  • To begin taking a Note, simply remove the S Pen from the screen when it is off, without even opening the Notes app.
  • The magnifying glass can be used to get a closer look at something on your screen by removing the S Pen and tapping on the magnifying glass icon.
