How to make whipped cream in a whipped cream dispenser

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't last!

Worked fine. But I'd only used it maybe six times at best before I noticed yellow specks in the whipped cream. After investigating I found that whatever the inside of this thing is coated with is flaking off. Hopefully it's not toxic because I'm pretty sure some of my guests ate it.I've only used cool water to clean it, nothing extremely hot or abrasive. "Professional" this is not!

The nozzle broke and now leaks every time I try to use it. It was great until it broke

This is great for making homemade whipped cream. It makes the process effortless.

Granted, this is the only one of its type that we have ever used, but we are just loving it. Everything is working great: the plastic tips work great, it's easy to clean, it works good and the price is great.

Overall we are very pleased. Two things---1) Amazon recommended 3 different items to order, and we really only needed 2 of them. We ended up with 60 N02 chargers. They will last, but we could have gotten by with the 10-pack to see how we liked the dispenser. 2)After charging it the first time, it worked great, but the shipped cream only lasted about 3-4 days. We'll try again to see if we are doing something wrong.

Okay I don't give reviews but I will on this product because I feel people should know what could possibly happen to them as it did me...the unit exploded in my kitchen! After charging I removed cartridge and unknowing to me the piece that mounts the cartridge came off as well as the N2O cartridge and POOF...my kitchen was a disaster...luckily I had a grip on everything when it happened...this thing could have become a projectile and have done some serious harm to someone...other than that the unit worked well for a few uses lol
Please see the photos of what I am referring to...also because this has happened the item is rendered useless as I cannot remove the spent cartridge as it is lodge inside the white piece used to mount the cartridge...I tried to tighten the cartridge back on the canister...I could see the cartridge just lodging further and tighter so it's garbage...it is possible I over tightened the cartridge but I hardly used any force...hopefully everyone can see or get an idea from the pics

Update...I reached out to the company and explained what had happened to me...the company responded immediately and wanted to understand what happened which I appreciated...they also tracked down the return to be quality inspected so this wouldn't happen again...then they also reached out to me over the phone to further understand the details of what occurred...this is the customer service I expected to see...plus they went above and beyond to make things right for my troubles...thank you ICO...2 stars to 5 stars

These are great for music festivals. It's hilarious going around shooting whipped cream into people's mouths. As soon as people hear you crack a whippit they come running from miles away with their mouths open wide, ready to be filled with that sweet white cream.

1.0 out of 5 stars Attention danger!!

Bonjour,

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, safe and easy to use for 'aloons

Very easy to use and feels safe unlike those small crackers that feel like they will blow in your face.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another couple of shakes and what comes out is like butter. After a dozen or so attempts

I have found it difficult to get consistent thickness of cream. Instructions describe giving four shakes for cream, but comes out too runny. Another couple of shakes and what comes out is like butter. After a dozen or so attempts, I'm still finding difficultly with consistency. Otherwise, it's an okay budget dispenser. Haven't attempted mouses or anything else, will try and get cream right first.

Wouldn’t go crazy over it but it’s certainly up there as a good cheap cream dispenser. Does what it says, easy to use and delivers. Not 5/5 as Would have been nicer for metal, rather than plastic but ah well. Definitely worth a buy if you’re looking for a good one

Does a whipped cream dispenser whip the cream?

When the lever is pressed it releases the pressure causing the nitrous oxide to expand within the fat molecule, dispensing whipped cream. This is why making whipped cream with a whipped cream dispenser creates 4x the amount as opposed to whipping air into the cream which produces half as much.

What cream do you use in a whipped cream dispenser?

Always use 'whipping cream' with your whipper. Double cream will set inside the whipper so this must not be used.

How do you fill a canister with whipped cream?

Place one of your whipped cream chargers inside and thread it into the dispenser head. As you thread the cartridge holder, it pushes the gas into the piercing pin. The gas evacuates the charger and enters the bottle. Give the dispenser a good shake and voila you've got your whipped cream.
