SafeLink customers will be able to keep their current device. If a customer’s SafeLink plan is served on a network other than Verizon’s, SafeLink will have a carefully managed transition during which
customers will be able to move to the Verizon network, including obtaining a device compatible with Verizon’s network if necessary. Can you reactivate a government phone?If you need to recertify, you must do so within 60 days, or you will lose your Lifeline benefit. If your income increases or you no longer participate in the government assistance program that you signed up with, you will lose the Lifeline benefit (or your service will be turned off).

Why was my SafeLink service Cancelled?Your benefits will be discontinued when you no longer meet the eligibility requirements, for example, if proof of eligibility is not received in a state that requires it. Customers who are no longer eligible for SafeLink Wireless benefits must notify us at 1-800-SafeLink Monday through Saturday, 8a. m. to 10p.
Why does my SafeLink phone not have service?If your phone is not connected to a network, you may be in an area where service is not yet available or you may also be in an area with poor wireless coverage. If you are indoors, try moving closer to a window or the perimeter of the building, or try going outside.
