5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install. Great for small babies.

Love this seat. It fits tiny babies really snug, and the install is easy and gives you a sense of security. Usually my husband struggles to install the base, and I end up having to double check it’s in tight enough, but he did this one without any issues. My son was born at 5lbs 3oz, and it fit really snug. I did remove the shoulder strap pieces because they were kind of stiff and seemed to bother him, but it works perfectly without them. The straps tighten, and loosen very easily. I did notice with the infant insert part that the straps are a little tight to get baby out, so I loosen them when removing the baby, and tighten them once he’s back in the seat. The canopy is a little annoying, but I do like how low over the baby it goes so it keeps out a lot of the sun, and nosy people 😂.

Bought this for by daughter before she was born, did some research on car seats that weren't too expensive and great reviews and found this one. Love how i didnt have to
buy a headrest separately, also looked safer than most car seats. Got to say it was definitely worth it. Have recently gotten in a car accident, where got side impact towards the passenger side both doors got damaged. The car was turn towards the opposite direction where i was headed. My daughter isn't even 2 months old yet, to say the headrest did its job to keep her safe and no damage in her neck or head what's so ever. Now i have purchased it again to replace the old one.
Only con is the
canopy is kinda of a pain to put pull back but its does the job from keeping the sun away from the baby so its something i can deal with.

I bought this model, and also the DLX because it was hard to decide and I couldn't find enough comparisons between them to decide. Just a note, I am still pregnant so I haven't been able to see how my baby will react to the head surround pieces, but I did decide to go with this model. If he does have issues with it, I will buy the DLX again.
Comparison:
The Elite had a HUGE canopy, that extends farther than any other carseat. I really like the idea of keeping the beaming sun off my baby in the summer without having to drape a cover over it when it is hot outside. Plus, I like
the zip down part that vents the back. The downside, is it does go all the way up to the handle. I was worried this will bug me, but if you have it in a regular position (not zipped down), there is enough room for your hand to wrap around the handle.
The canopy is more of a water repellant material on the elite, but that also makes it have more of a "swish swish" sounds when moving it into place. The DLX is quieter and smoother to move, but I think the elite will be better at combatting wind,
rain, and snow. The DLX canpoy material is more like polyester (think athletic shirt material).
I like the ergonomic feel of the grip on the elite handle, the DLX's button is right where you grip, so I found it less comfortable.
I also like the fact that you dont need to rethread the elite shoulder harness, it has an easy button that moves up and down. Also the button for the crotch is easier to use than with the DLX.
The safety surrounds arent removable, so that's a bummer in case your
baby doesnt like it or wont fit him/her. I'm worried about that but I think the benefits outweigh the costs overall.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't click easily into the base

I'm returning the car seat after 2 months of use. I'm so glad that I'm still able to return it. Every time i go to put my daughter into my car, I have to forcibly push the car seat
into the base and wiggle it all around to make sure it's secure. I didn't have to do this with my prior infant car seat. I would just set it in and it would click. I would still make sure it was secure but I never had to push the car seat and and wiggle it all around to make sure it's secure. Even after doing that there have been a few times after we've been driving around, I go to get my daughter out of the car, place a little bit of weight onto the car seat as I'm pulling it off of the base
and I hear a click....... like it wasn't secure. This is after I had made sure it was secure before I left and I'm very thorough. When it comes to the safety of my children, I'm very paranoid. So this is not okay with me and it's going back to amazon.
I love the car seat itself. Its very padded and cozy. I just wish I could make sure I get a safe and secure latch every time I put her into my car.

I had one carseat for my two oldest (2007, 2009) but have it to my cousin in need. Then I bought a new one for #3 in 2010, which I used for the next four (2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017). It expired. So I was in need of a new one. I did my research on line to see what I could get within my budget. This for the bill, perfectly! Love that I don't have to rethread it! That's what I loved about my previous one. Love the canopy, again what I loved about my previous one. This one is lighter compared to the last one which I great. Super secure/tight. Get it!
