How to get from Sapphire Falls to Hard Rock Hotel either walking or using Universal water taxi? Is it fairly quick? Or would walking to the parks from Sapphire Falls with a stop at Royal Pacific be much easier?

  • #2

I’d say it’s a 20-25 min walk depending on security at Margaritaville. I’m not sure why you would stop at RPR, it’s too close to Sapphire to take a break during your walk unless you have a reason to stop there. Both resort boats drop off at city walk. From city walk you could either walk to HRH - to the right of Universal, or get in line for the HRH boat.

Water taxi to Citywalk and either walk to HRH or jump on the boat if you prefer....either is easy.

Does the Sapphire Falls water taxi drop off at the same Citywalk location/boat dock as the water taxi for Hard Rock Hotel? would it just be like a transfer? Would we avoid having to go through security at Citiwalk just to hop on a water taxi to HRH?
And could the same be done for Portofino Bay if we went there instead of HRH? Just transfer water taxi's at the boat dock at Citywalk? THANK YOU

Yes, they are right next to each other.

Maybe have a Google for the pictures of the boat dock in Citywalk.....each hotel has it`s own little spot. You can get on any boat from there.

Yes, you go through security before you get on any boat, once you are in Citywalk you`re fine. And again, you`ll get checked before you get on the boat leaving the other hotel too.

But the Citywalk security checks from the hotels if you are walking aren`t normally bad, there`s very rarely a line. Very different from the main Citywalk entrance from the parking lot.

Take the water taxi. I love the water taxi. It can be a nice relaxing ride especially if they are playing good music.
