Always May 28, 2009 at 6:47 pm #30139 Hi.. I just got my 3rd tattoo today.. Can I use normal moisturizer on it sometimes ? I am thinking about the moisturizer: CeraVe moisturizing Lotion.. Here are the ingredienses: Water Purified, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Behentrimonium Methosulfate/Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceramide 3, Ceramide 6-11, Ceramide 1, Hyaluronic Acid, Cholesterol, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Polyglyceryl 3 Diisostearate, Potassium Phosphate, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Cetyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phytosphingosine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum May 28, 2009 at 6:50 pm #65226 Hi Wait until it has scabbed or peeled before applying that stuff – it has a high alcohol content that will dry out the skin and could pull ink. Sounds crazy I know as it is a moisturiser but I am talking about the top layer not what is absorbed. Try using it after 5-7 days should be fine. Take Care The only difference between a person with tattoos, and a person without is this. The person with tattoos does not care if you do not have any. May 31, 2009 at 10:37 pm #65313 My husband is heavily tattooed. For aftercare of his tattoos he uses Lubriderm hand cream, the unscented kind. He doesn’t use Tattoo Goo or Polysporn or anything else, just Lubriderm. He has never had a problem with any of his tattoos. He’s been using it for several years now. June 2, 2009 at 11:16 am #65359 lornab Guest @ Any nappy rash cream is usually the best thing to use for tattoos – I never really use normal moisteriser on any of mine and always give them a good helping of sunscreen before going out. I didn’t do it with my first one and the discolouration is really noticable compared to the rest that I have looked after Viewing 6 posts - 1 through 6 (of 6 total) You must be logged in to create new topics.
