Apple Cash is a digital card that lives in Wallet. It’s an easy way to send and receive money from Messages or from Wallet. And because it’s a digital card, your Apple Cash can be spent in stores, online, and in apps with Apple Pay. You can view your Apple Cash balance on your Apple Cash card in the Wallet app or in Settings > Wallet and Apple Pay. You can also set up Apple Cash for family members under 18 years old, so you can safely send them money they can spend with their own Apple Cash card.
In Messages, tap the Apple Cash button, enter an amount on the keypad, and tap Pay. In Wallet, choose your Apple Cash card and tap Send Money. You can select from a list of suggested recipients or simply type in a contact. Enter an amount on the keypad, then tap Pay.
Your Apple Cash balance lives on your Apple Cash card in the Wallet app. When you receive money in Messages, you’ll get a notification from Wallet that your balance has changed.
You can use Apple Cash to make purchases just as you would with physical cards and cash. It works anywhere Apple Pay is accepted — in stores, online, and in apps. You can also transfer your Apple Cash to your bank account.
Yes. With Apple Cash Family, you can set up Apple Cash for members in your Family Sharing group who are under age 18. Once it’s set up, they can send, spend, and receive money using Apple Cash. You can receive notifications when they make a transaction, limit the people they can send money to, and even lock their account.
Apple Cash is a digital card in Wallet that lets you send and receive money in Messages or Wallet. The money you receive appears on your Apple Cash card in Wallet. You can spend it however you like in stores, online, and in apps with Apple Pay.
Apple Pay enables you to make secure, contactless purchases using Apple Cash, Apple Card, and any other credit and debit cards that you add to Wallet.
You can easily transfer money to your Apple Cash card once you’ve added a debit card to Wallet. Any money you receive in Messages or Wallet is automatically added to your Apple Cash balance. If you’re under 18, money is added to your Apple Cash card only when someone sends you money. If you use Apple Card, your Daily Cash back is also deposited to your Apple Cash card, except if you do not have an Apple Cash card set-up yet, in which case you can only apply your Daily Cash as a credit on your statement balance.
