I've a load of 20v tools from porter cable and was looking for a light duty cordless 20v vacuum. Seems that they may not be made anymore. Anyone researched to see if the PC batteries will work in new Craftsman tools that Lowes offers? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk Last edited:

Have you checked eBay, and local sites like Offerup? I had old Porter Cable 18v batteries and got tools I wanted from both those sites for cheap. My guess is it'll run with an adapter, you might even wanna check the Black and Decker 20v series as well as Dewalt since its all one platform now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did not know they were one series of batteries Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Possibly hf Hercules Brand could work to

The only direct transfer ones are B&D and Porter Cable. Small slice off of the battery casing, and the B&D battery fits. You do need to cut an angle on the bottom of the PC tool. For PC batteries, a small slice and they should work fine. Sent from my Phone 2 using The Garage

The Garage Journal mobile app This is accurate. I’ve researched it for my PC20v battery collection.

The Garage Journal mobile app There was a series of Craftsman cordless tools, the "Bolt-On" system, which also used the Black&Decker/Porter Cable batteries. Sears sold the batteries for this system as "Die Hard" branded 20V batteries. Not sure if this is of any help to you as this system is no longer sold, but wanted to make a note of it for anyone else researching battery
cross-compatibility. None of these fit the new SBD Craftsman V20 line, which is unfortunate. As I already had a bunch of PC/B&D batteries, I would have bought into their line instead of Milwaukee. It's a shame, too - you can practically see the entire line of what would have been Porter Cable 20V tools dressed in all red at Lowe's.
