Most recertification processes are now done online due to Covid, add the skills test is done during an appointment. This book was instrumental in instructing on actions to take depending on if a person has gone into cardiac arrest, if the person has choked on some thing, if the victim has a pulse but it’s not breathing, and several other scenarios. Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2022 I like to do little drawings in the margins and circle main words or concepts to help me remember info; so I was disappointed this year, when told the class book was an online read. I scurried to get a last minute purchase before my class-for the latest AHA BLS edition (2020) via Amazon. I got it within 3 days and no problems. I like the post-chapter quizzes with an answer key on the last page. The book is straight forward information with a Larger-font easy to read appendix in the back of the book~that goes through critical points for BLS sequences in various scenarios: Adult/child/ infant/pregnant CPR/AED/choking/OD/Drowning~ as well info on anaphylaxis and use of Epi pen and lastly a critical points skills checklist.
