Install was not easy. Not for your inexperienced mechanic. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on February 15, 2022 Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on September 27, 2020 Excellent!!! This 100% OEM power brake booster, install in my Mazda CX-9 from 2010 and it works perfect I have been using the car every day long distances and it really works very well, do not spend your money on a second hand or rebuilt one , this is excellent. (I also recommend changing the brake master cylinder) thanks Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on December 27, 2020 Brake booster was leaking in a 2010 CX-9. Bought this part as a replacement. Part fit in no problem and I'm back to a nice firm brake pedal. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on August 14, 2019 Iβm giving only 4 stars due to the fact that after an installation the rubber housing was making a noise for at least 2-3 weeks during braking. The noise is gone now and the product continues to work fine. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on September 6, 2017 Excellent Product, do not buy auto parts from amazon warehouse deals, I made the mistake of buying one of these from warehouse deals and the part came with a busted diaphragm, a hunge dent in the side where the master cylinder connects and brake fluid all over the inside of the booster and diaphragm, needless to say that's the worst possible thing that could happen to a brake booster, sent it back and bought one from avondale mazda, and it was perfect, OEM, work exactly as intended Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on July 22, 2020 This is original Mazda party and not an OEM. Lot cheaper than local dealers. I bought it to get it installed. So far good with no issues from this part. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on January 12, 2019 Ordered as a replacement for 2009 Mazda CX9. The new unit I received was 100% identical to the factory Mazda unit removed from the car, including appearance, markings etc. Even part number stickers matched exactly. Where is the brake booster check valve? So, where is the booster check valve located? You'll find it at the brake booster vacuum inlet, connecting to the vacuum hose from the engine intake manifold.
What happens when a brake booster check valve fails? When the check valve is not working correctly, the operation of the brakes becomes much more difficult. Specifically, the pedal goes from smooth and soft to aggressive and very difficult to press down. This is due to the excess pressure inside the master cylinder, which the check valve is designed to regulate.
Can you replace a brake booster check valve?Replacing your faulty vacuum brake booster check valve ensures that your brakes work properly and keeps you safe on the road. If replacing your vacuum brake booster check valve is something you would rather leave to a professional, have one of YourMechanic's certified technicians perform the replacement.
What does a power brake booster check valve do?Another key part of the power brakes is the check valve. The photo above shows the check valve, which is a one-way valve that only allows air to be sucked out of the vacuum booster. If the engine is turned off, or if a leak forms in a vacuum hose, the check valve makes sure that air does not enter the vacuum booster.
