Our rebuilt engine includes engine elements such as the long block, the block casting with each necessary component including machining, crankshaft, connecting rods, new bearings (rod and main), pistons, rings, camshafts, and timing chain. The engine also includes new cylinder heads, which themselves include head casting with all the required machining, brand new valves, keepers, springs, and seals. Our remanufactured engines feature updated rocker arms, pushrods, and lifters to complete the engine build. The long block also arrives with a complete set of seals and gaskets as well as an updated oil pump.

Core Return Policy

In order to keep our prices low, we require your old part (core) to be sent back to us. For your convenience, we cover all shipping costs associated with returning your core. It’s important to note that the core return is something the customer is responsible for and needs to be initiated by the customer. Once your new part is installed, please contact us at (888) 412-2772 to set up your core pickup.

There is no upfront core charge (unless otherwise stated) under the condition that you schedule your core (old part) to be returned within thirty days of receiving your new part.

Per our Core Return Policy, the customer authorizes Car Part Planet to charge their card on file for the value of the core, if it is not returned back to us within 30 (thirty) days from the time of delivery. If the core is not returned or paid for, the warranty will also be void. If the core is returned after the core charge is billed to the customer, a $50 processing fee will be deducted upon the refund. Return shipping of the core is provided by Car Part Planet at no additional cost to the customer.

Free Shipping

To utilize our free shipping service the shipping address must be in a commercially zoned location. The shipping address location must be able to receive freight without the need for the liftgate or prior notice for the appointment.

Please note, that certain locations such as remote areas as well as certain locations in CO, UT, NY, OR, and CA may incur additional delivery fees or extended shipping times. There may be order delays due to extenuating circumstances, nevertheless, we will do our best to get your order out as soon as possible.

Please note that all shipping times are estimated and not guaranteed. Car Part Planet will not be responsible for any additional fees that a carrier may charge due to issues such as re-delivery or storage. All our remanufactured engines are thoroughly tested before shipping; however, damage can occur during transit.

Damaged, incorrect, or missing parts should be reported by the receiver immediately upon the time of delivery. Any failure to notify us of any damage and/or incorrect or missing parts before signing shipping documents puts the responsibility on the representative of the company designated to sign for the delivery (the "purchaser/receiver").

Remanufactured Engine Warranty

Car Part Planet warrants our remanufactured engine parts to be free of defects in any parts/materials and workmanship for the warranty period indicated from the date of installation, assuming the part was (and can be documented as) installed by a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility.

Gasoline Engines

Gas engines that come standard in small automobiles and trucks up to 11,000 gross volume weight.

Year 2000 and Older

3-years/ unlimited mileage, $50/ hour labor reimbursement rate. Parts and labor are paid only upon inspected and approved claims.

Year 2001 and Newer

5-years/ unlimited mileage, $50/ hour labor reimbursement rate. Parts and labor are paid only on approved claims after factory inspection. Purchases made prior to January 1, 2018, carry a warranty of 3 years with unlimited mileage. A first-time part replacement is free.

Gas Engines in Fleet Vehicles and Small Trucks

3-years/ 75,000 miles, $50/ hour labor reimbursement rate. Parts and labor are paid only on inspected and approved claims. First-time part replacement is free.

Gas Engines Large Trucks (more than 11,000 G.V.W.)

12 months/ 12,000 miles, $50/ hour Mitchell labor reimbursement rate is only on inspected and approved claims. First-time part replacement is FREE.

Diesel Engines (Vehicles exceeding 11,000 G.V.W.)

12 months/ 12,000 miles, $50/ hour Mitchell labor reimbursement rate is only on inspected and approved claims. First-time part replacement is FREE.

Marine Engines

18 months/ unlimited hours, $50/ hour is the warranty labor reimbursement rate with a cap of $800;

If it is determined that the part must be replaced, the original part must be returned before any warranty claims will be paid out.
