Raise the hood and put on the appropriate support rod. Remove the gasket near the windshield, as shown in the video, and raise the protection that was under it. Meanwhile, remove the plastic vents with the attached air filter. Install the new air filter on the plastic vents while they are removed from the car. Now insert it into the car seat gently, so as not to damage it. Make sure it is positioned correctly. Close the bulkhead and replace the gasket that was previously removed. Close the hood and test the car making sure you don't hear any strange noises.

    @holbrooks all 1999-2004 Grand Cherokee WJ series models feature a housing for installation of a cabin air filter but no models have ever come with the filter as standard. It must be purchased as a Mopar aftermarket accessory and installed under the front cowl. So unless you had it installed, there isn't one.
